Promoting The Facts About Unions

"Union officials have abused the trust of their members. They've misspent member dues and harmed the very same people they promise to protect."

In 2005 alone, federal racketeering investigations resulted in 196 convictions against union officials and employees and $187 million in fines. Union tactics -- including deception and intimidation during organizing campaigns, strikes that hurt members more than they help, spending mandatory union dues on radical political agendas, and the use of anti-democratic voting practices -- are long overdue for exposure.

The Center for Union Facts has gathered a wealth of information about the size, scope, political activities, and criminal activity of the labor movement in the United States of America. Welcome to UnionFacts.com

"We are against union officials' abuse of power, often at the expense of their own rank-and-file members. We are against corruption, violence, and intimidation. We are against the misuse of union dues. We support employees who elect to join a union, as well as the right of employees to remain non-union without intimidation."

Founded by Richard Berman, a Washington-based lobbyist. Through his public affairs firm Berman and Company, Berman runs several industry-funded non-profit organizations such as the Center for Union Facts where he serves as executive director.

Ad campaign targets D.C. teachers union
By: Lisa Gartner
Examiner Staff Writer

August 31, 2010

The Washington Teachers' Union is the target of an aggressive advertising campaign created by an organization founded by an anti-union lobbyist.

Actors depicting teachers, students and parents in a television commercial, full-page newspaper ads, a billboard, and a Farragut North Metro station sign say the union "put politics ahead of my child's education" and "makes it almost impossible to fire bad teachers."

The Center for Union Facts, which created the ads, is a self-proclaimed "watchdog" against "abuses of power" by unions.

Faulkner County Tea Party

www.faulknercountyteaparty.com

Arkansas

In the fall of 2009, like many hard-working, responsible citizens, several of our organizers had become weary of constant assaults on our God-given rights and freedoms by our irresponsible and increasingly arrogant government.

We live in a town of 60,000 people. With a state funded university, one of the most well respected liberal arts universities in the nation, and a small Christian-based college in our town, we have no shortage of liberal thinking in our county. Because our areas of influence are still ‘small,’ "we knew we could affect local politics and make a difference just by being involved. Most of us felt we could not continue to sit at home and let America continue sliding downhill without mounting “the fight of our lives.”

FCTP’s vision is to promote constitutional government and fiscal responsibility thus ensuring our children continue to enjoy life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Our strategic initiatives include:

  • Membership – Grow to levels where our voice is heard
  •  Education – Equip members/public through many educational opportunities
  • Communicate to public – Ensure our members are able to clearly and concisely communicate our core beliefs: freedom and liberty are self-evident right granted by God, government role is to advance these rights while being limited by the Constitution, limited government must be fiscally responsible to protect blessings of liberty.
None of our original leaders knew one other, even though we had all been active on the Internet and writing letters, and a few of our leaders had been pursuing specific problems with some local elected officials. Our first meeting was just 8 people, but we quickly realized the pent-up demand for a conservative voice in our
community. We’ve grown exponentially, moving our monthly forums from our public library (holding about 80-90 people) to another public facility holding over 170. In August 2010 we move to an auditorium holding 500 people. We are quickly growing our voice and influence in Faulkner County. (read more)

(NKJV)
